We’re excited to announce two new resources this month to help you be more diligent in the planning process. Details are below:

New Checklist: What Issues Should I Consider When Establishing My Charitable Giving Strategy?

Many of your clients are charitably inclined but need help aligning their resources, priorities, and philosophy. As a financial advisor, you are uniquely positioned to counsel clients as they determine what, when, and how to give to charitable organizations. By analyzing each client’s unique situation, you can identify opportunities and model outcomes in order to optimize the impact of charitable gifts.

New Flowchart: Should I Take My Pension As A Lump Sum?

Although increasingly rare, employer pensions can make up a considerable portion of your clients’ expected retirement benefits. Whether they are nearing retirement or are already receiving ongoing pension payments, clients may have the option to choose a lump sum distribution/buyout instead of a lifetime stream of payments. Several factors must be analyzed in order to determine what course is best for your client and their unique circumstances.

The end of the year seems like it is right around the corner for many advisors. Advisors are working to wrap up 2020 planning items, but are also starting to prepare for 2021. With that in mind, look at these two resources which may be particularly helpful over the next two months.

This quick reference guide covers the most important annual limits, as well as, figures that are commonly referred to during the year. Updated quickly based on member feedback.

Timely Resource: What Issues Should I Consider Before The End Of The Year?

The end of the year provides a number of planning opportunities and issues for financial advisors to discuss with their clients. Year-end topics can include tax planning, investment, and retirement accounts, charitable giving, cash flow and savings, insurance, and estate planning. In this checklist, we cover a number of planning issues that your clients need to consider prior to year-end to ensure they stay on track.
